The UNAM Archives Unit was established in 1994 and is located at the Lower Ground Floor of the Main Library in Windhoek, Namibia. The main mandate of the unit is to ensure the survival of the University of Namibia’s memory for administrative, legal, historical and future research purposes.
Apart from this, the Archives Unit also holds private archival collections on Namibian history which are available for research. Further to this are the publications by UNAM, photographic and poster collections. All of these rich information resources are available for research. These are the collections that are described in this database.
The database is available for search of whole collections or individual files, items or subject titles. All items described here are available physically at the UNAM Archives.
