(i) United Nations General Assembly concludes consideration of the question of Namibia and adopts five resolutions on the issue: • Situation in Namibia resulting from the illegal occupation of the territory by South Africa; • Implementation of Security Council resolution 435 (1978); • Programme of work of the United Nations Council for Namibia; • Dissemination of information and mobilization of international public opinion in support of Namibia • United Nations fund for Namibia. (ii) Assembly of Heads of States and Government of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) adopts a resolution on Namibia reiterating, inter alia, that Security Council resolution 435 (1978) is the only basis for a peaceful solution to the Namibian problem, 50/84.
